About
I am a social scientist and ethnographer, interested in applied social research, particularly program monitoring and evaluation for international development programs, which is not coincidentally the field I am currently employed in.
I am also very interested in the form of social engineering known (at least in the Anglican and Catholic traditions) as liturgy, and in the construction and maintenance of faith communities, particularly within (and expanding on) the Episcopal tradition, although my interests in this area (and the path I have taken here) have been somewhat eclectic.
As should be obvious, this is my personal blog, and any opinions expressed here are not necessarily shared by my employer, spouse, toddler (particularly not my toddler!), dog (unless I’m holding a piece of cheese), or, for that matter, by myself at some later date.
I’m also happy if some of my opinions are shared by any of those and numerous other entities, but you’d have to ask them about that.
